Windsor Mens First XI drew 4-4 in a high tempo thriller against Oxford Hawks Mens 4s.
And the lead changed hands twice in the end-to-end action that saw home team Windsor pull ahead first following a well worked Marcus Barrow-Marques short corner.
The hosts piled on the pressure as Ali Parkes made it 2-0 with a fine finish as Windsor looked to be in full control.
But Hawks refused to have their wings clipped and swooped to get one back just before half time to stay in the game.
In a remarkable turnaround, the visitors took charge of the re-start and with Windsor caught high up the pitch, made the most of the space to punish them three times and take an unexpected 4-2 lead.
However, Windsor were far from down and out and with supporters cheering them on from the sidelines, rallied despite 10 minutes left on the clock.
Parkes edged them closer to a draw with a terrific goal and Windsor went for one big guts and glory push with less than a minute to go.
Winning an eleventh hour long corner, a pass into the D was met by Fraser Thompson who slammed the ball past the Hawks keeper for the equaliser, a split second before the final whistle in a nail-biting finish at Windsor Boys School.
On Saturday, January 25, the MBBO Division 2 team play Oxford Mens 3s away.
